Dr. Payne is the author of An Outline of Hebrew History, Theology of the Older Testament, The Imminent Appearing of Christ, and editor of New Perspectives on the Old Testament. He has been a major contributor to reference books, including Baker's Dictionary of Theology, Pictorial Bible Dictionary, and The Wycliffe Bible Dictionary, and to the New American Standard Bible Dr. Payne has written articles for periodicals such as Journal of Biblical Literature, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, and Christianity Today.
