The Immeasurable Want of Light (IWL) is a play, illustrated by famed historian and painter, Nell Painter. IWL follows Maker, a black, overweight artist, as she comes of age in an alternate universe. This is an epic play consisting of twenty-eight distinct micro plays of varying language styles and forms that journeys through shifting perspectives of living in Black skin.

Autor

Daaimah Mubashshir is a playwright and theatre-maker living and working in New York. Her work has been commissioned and developed by 3 Hole Press, New Georges, Clubbed Thumb, Soho Rep, WP Theater, Playco and Fire This Time Festival. Daaimah was recently awarded a Helen Merrill Playwriting Award. She is currently on faculty at Bard College. daaimahmubashshir.com
