His expertise as a histologist ranges between mollusks and crustaceans to fish and known model organisms such as the zebrafish and murids. Whether using them biomarker candidates in environmental monitoring or as phenotypic anchors in complex and multidisciplinary toxicological studies, he has been applying and developing many histopathological techniques. He additionally teaches these techniques to graduate and post-graduate students with diverse academic backgrounds.
