In The Half has not Been Told-Memoirs of my Destiny, Patricia Betts Tyus captures stories of things that has occurred over the years in the life of her daughter, Destini, diagnosed as special needs at the age of two years old. She shares the emotions that a mother experiences when she finds out that the child she sees as prefect is being labeled with titles that would alter the perception of anyone that hears them.
