Peta echoed his words in stunned disbelief, wondering why a man as charismatic as Beale Jacobs would ask a woman to marry him after such a short acquaintance. Life in the bush would certainly be life changing. Would Peta be able to handle it? She was a city girl knowing nothing about country life, let alone what happened on a cattle station. Peta felt there was an undeniable pull and her heart strings were tuning up for the grand finale. She was about to discover a whole new world; one that would help to uncover long lost secrets concerning past generations in Beale's family background.
