Autor

Herman Heijermans (b. Rotterdam, 1864) was a Dutch writer. His novels and stories include Trinette, Fles, Interieurs, and Diamanstad. His play, The Good Hope (Op Hoop van Zegen), which criticised the exploitation of Dutch fishermen, was produced to great interest in his homeland, and went on to tour internationally. Other plays include Dora Kremer, Ghetto, Het Pantser and Ora et labora. He died in 1924.
