The Ashley that existed in the most important times of a person's life, where personality and sense of self are developed; was shattered, ripped from innocence, and left to wander this world on a lonely path. On her journey through life, just trying to find her way to peace, Ashley is confronted with coming face to face with sexual abuse from early toddler years. She watched men come in and out of her home, who were only there for one thing, and told that she was next. Filled with fear and in danger of her own safety, her innocence was ripped from her in ways that not even she would know would alter her entire life. After escaping one life of torment, Ashley is thrown into yet another reality. A reality that was supposed to heal and comfort her; but only led to even more toxic and abusive chaos. From physical abuse to mental and emotional abuse, life was proving that it was not worth living; as the pain was too much to bear. It was dark and lonely, and one could only wonder if there was relief in death. She was now living in a world where suicide seemed to be the only answer. As Ashley powers through life, having escaped her attempts to end it all, she battles demons well into her adulthood. Strip club work, random meet ups with men for affection she lacked, and a severely abusive marriage would only continue her internal suffering, with no way to get out. That is until she met an angel who would pull her out of this life and show her beauty in the pain. For once she felt seen and loved. Everything she had been through had brought her to a point where she finally felt like she belonged and all the pieces she had been missing no longer mattered because she had her soulmate. Would the love that she finds be enough to bring her back into the light, or would this love have a tragic ending too? Will she make it out of the darkness and live the life she had only dreamed of? Or will the death of a new marriage send her spiraling even further out of control?
