Richard went into journalism, with aspirations to become a novelist, whilst Alan enjoyed great success as the front man for a rock band, before retiring with his riches to the depths of the Wiltshire countryside, near to the ancient megalithic site of Avebury, in a house once owned by Dorian Slake, a notorious occultist of the 1960s.When an impromptu reunion brings the two friends together again, Richard couldn't be more pleased, and when Alan offers him the chance to look after his country retreat, so that he can finish his book, things appear truly serendipitous.But from the moment of his arrival at the isolated farmhouse, Richard starts to realize that all is not as it seems. Strange phenomena afflict the house with frightening regularity, and someone appears to be keeping watch on it from some nearby woods. Why is it that a local coven of satanists seem to take such an inordinate interest in the property, mounting a campaign of harassment to force Richard to leave?
