Extract has shown inhibition of free radicals effects , the M. oleifera leaves extract has given good results compared to standard antioxidant (Vitamin C).In this study, have proved that M.oleifera leaves extract, it possesses the ability to protect the brain from effects of oxidative stress caused by experimentally induced hypoxia in male rats through its ameliorative effect on the oxidative stress in the treatment group (C). In the present study, it was noticed that M.oleifera could greatly enhance the activity of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, GSH-Px and GSH) , and decreased the oxidative stress markers (MDA and ROS) . M. oleifera leaves extract seems to balance the endogenous antioxidant activity .
