The only clue to her past is the severe burns that mar her sister Clarissa's skin. After rescuing some backpackers in the Sonoran desert, eating an ice cream shop dry and stealing a police car in her sleep, Daphne and her best friend Jacob Ortega confirm that her dreams are very much real. Daphne's dramatic nighttime escapades don't translate to the day, where Daphne suffers persecution from a particularly wicked teacher, dodges the school bullies and falls out with Clarissa over Daphne's 'made up dreams'. It appears that Daphne's dreams are trying to show her something when she turns up at a burnt out chalet in the Swiss Alps, and feels a pull of familiarity to the place. Through her investigative skills and lack of respect for the rules, Daphne begins to unravel some big secrets about the family who once lived there...
