The Draco Twins is a series of children's books discussing differences in children and many of the struggles children face in today's world. The main characters are Dusty and Daisy Draco, young dragon twins. Other characters include the twins' parents who assist them in learning life's lessons. Like all twins, Dusty and Daisy have a very special close relationship. Daisy is an adventurous risk-taker and Dusty is more careful and thoughtful. Daisy loves new and different things and places to explore. She is quick to act, many times without thinking first. Dusty usually goes along with Daisy's adventures. However, he, then, helps Daisy to resolve the problems she often unwittingly creates. Dusty's difference helps him to solve the problems Daisy creates. In The Draco Twins Deal with Divorce, the Draco Twins while splashing in the puddles after a rain storm, meet their classmate, Sarah. Sarah looks sad and can't play with them because she has chores to finish. Dusty and Daisy decide to help Sarah with her chores instead of playing in the puddles. In this third book of the series, Daisy, of course, causes a problem and Dusty saves the day. The twins learn that Sarah's parents are divorced. Talking with Sarah, the twins help Sarah find hope in knowing how much her parents love her.

Autor

Author Carol Basile Ph.D. Carol is the mother of a 55-year-old Autistic son. She is an educator, school psychologist and parenting group facilitator. Carol has been in the field of education for over 40 years. She has had the opportunity to teach grades K-12, was a high school counselor and school psychologist and has specialized in working with at-risk children and adolescents. Carol has facilitated groups at a local Orange County, California clinic where she worked with adolescents who had recently been released from juvenile hall, adults with anger issues, and parents who experienced custody difficulties during divorce proceedings or have lost their children to Social Services for a variety of reasons. Carol presently teaches psychology at an Orange County, California college. Carol is the author of three children's books on differences: The Draco Twins Make a Discovery, The Draco Twins Turn Bullies into Buddies, and The Draco Twins Deal with Divorce which is available in Large Text for visually impaired children.
