About Ibn al-¿Arab¿ Ibn al-¿Arabi (1165-1240 CE) was a towering Andalusian scholar, philosopher, and poet known as The Greatest Master (al-Shaykh al-Akbar). Born in Murcia, Spain, he studied under leading scholars and spiritual masters across al-Andalus and North Africa. His travels took him to Makkah, Anatolia, and finally Damascus, where he taught and wrote extensively. Ibn al-¿Arab¿ authored over 300 works, including Fü¿¿ al-¿ikam and al-Fut¿¿¿t al-Makkiyya, which explored metaphysics, divine love, and spiritual realities. He mentored ¿adr al-D¿n al-Q¿naw¿ and influenced generations of thinkers. His legacy continues to shape Islamic thought, spirituality, and philosophy to this day.
