Have you ever felt that your life has been ruled by something other than yourself? Well, it probably has. And there is a good chance that it was fear. Whether it was fear of disappointing my family, the people around me, society, or even the man I married, there is no facet of my life that has not been permeated and plagued by fear. Now, as everyone around me has it all figured out, I have a unique opportunity to start over. I am in the process of learning who I truly am out of the confines of everyone's expectations, and writing my own narrative. I am breaking free of the definition of fear. Will I ever fully break free from it? (Spoiler alert: no.) But each moment in time this book holds will forever lie within me. One day, I will look back upon it and see the beauty in that.
