Those thoughts, compiled, full of feelings and fears, hopes, dreams and despairs cycle out onto paper in the form of poetry. Sometimes, the poems that appear in the cycle are of humanity's striving for the light, searching for the decency hoped for in each human to human encounter, and reaching for the peak of what human can mean. Sometimes, the cycle is of the darkness, the despair and pain of living as one lone human being afraid to reach out, afraid there is no wall to keep the despair at bay or the dark pit from sucking one down into the abyss. Either way, it is the poet's responsibility to remind all of the complete cycle of being human, light and dark and the many shades between. But, it is up to each lone human being to decide the cycle of one's own life.
