Chris plans a more serious crime-boosting a car-and when William refuses to participate, the situation explodes. In a fit of rage, Chris shoots and kills William, leaving Alex in shock. Confronted with the brutal reality of his choices, Alex is consumed by guilt and grief. The police are called, and Chris is arrested, but Alex is left to face the devastating consequences of his actions. During the police interview, Alex realizes the truth in his father's warnings and feels responsible for his best friend's death. Haunted by guilt, he withdraws from everyone, including Stacie, who is heartbroken by the path he has taken. Alex sinks into despair, believing he has destroyed his relationships and disappointed those who cared about him.
