This work of historical fiction sensitively investigates the history and culture of the Incan and pre-Incan people, and the Quechua of the altiplano. There are colourful descriptions of the plants, animals and climate of various areas of Peru and Ecuador. The book series shows the breadth of research into the cultures and belief systems of the South American people with emphasis on their lore, myths and legends. In this first book the reasons are given for the intrigues of Father Xavier, who appears in subsequent books.

Autor

Hernán Eduardo Moreno Ruiz is the nom de plume of Dr. Peter Terence Scott, who, like his fictional character Colonel Moreno, has travelled extensively in South America, and was an Army Reservist. Raised and educated in Sydney, Australia; graduating as a Science Teacher, he began a successful career of over forty years in high schools and universities. His extensive studies and research add a richness and authenticity to all of his writing. An author of over twenty works of non-fiction in the Earth and Environmental Sciences, CONFESSIONS of FATHER XAVIER is his seventh novel.
