After the war, as a civilian employee of the U. S. Government, and was involved with the selection of the Unknown Soldier. The front cover shows the pallbearers, followed by French and American officials, who carried the casket to the square in front of the railroad station at La Have, France. The casket was placed on a caisson while school children showered it with flowers. Keating can be recognized as the man in civilian clothing without a hat and with a medal on the left lapel of his coat.
