Economic and social pressures have absorbed us in such a way that we have forgotten to live. Instead, we confine ourselves to surviving. We work without enjoying, we eat without tasting, we speak without communicating, and we ride through life accepting and generating destructive and painful relationships. The worst thing about this is that we have become accustomed to living like this, and we believe that we should continue that way. The good news, which brings us this work, is that nothing compels us to live that way; and we have the right and the ability to change our destiny. Obviously, one of the main needs for human beings is education. But I am not referring solely to academics; I also refer to learning to live, education for everyday. We need to learn what urges us, as a society and as individuals, to know and to recognize ourselves in order to modify behaviors, which constrain us, and produce suffering to those around us and ourselves. "The Challenge of Changing Your Life" is not just a stop on the way to reflecting on life, happiness, our relationships, past, present, future and mainly about ourselves. It is rather a repair and maintenance workshop which we can use to align and fix ourselves and then return to the path with another perspective, anew vision and tools to correct any damage that may arise during the rest of our journey.

CLARA STELLA ARENAS She was shaking and sweating. She was back at home and was finally face to face with the family member who had sexually abused her almost 50 years ago. It had taken her many years of inner healing and learning to forgive, to feel powerful and worthy enough to speak up, to break the silence. Clara was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia. She has been a teacher, a physical therapist, a writer, and an EFT master practitioner. Clara wrote the books "Ideas Para Seguir Avante" and "The Challenge of Changing Your Life" in Spanish. Her passion for teaching moved her to start her own company in Phoenix, AZ (Avante Seminar). She has dedicated her last 25 years studying human behavior and techniques to facilitate the forgiveness process. Her passion is to help people to re-discover themselves, their potential and connection with the Universe, so they can find inner peace as she has through forgiveness. MIRNA PINEDA From her first job at a radio station right out of college as a Communications major, Mirna Pineda perceived a need to improve media information by adding constructive content. She sometimes had the role of "Doctor Heart" responding to her listeners. Back then, she was sharing her scarce experience at the mere age of 20. Mirna's journalistic work has given her the opportunity to received training in speech communication, leadership, interior and exterior image, theatre, speech writing, advertising, and radio and television journalism. She obtained her master's degree in education with a minor in communications. Some years later she obtained her second master's degree, this one in Management of Knowledge Organizations. Mirna has learned to manage her own stress by practicing yoga, Pilates and Zumba. She has learned to forgive and to release the pain of her emotional wounds. She has also learned to transform her own life for the better and helped transform others' lives as well.
