Crafting picture books for her sister fostered an intimate bond. In 1906, her renowned work "The Root Children" debuted, captivating readers with its narrative and intricate art. Briefly embracing a religious life as a nun added another layer to her story. Despite her premature passing, Olfers' legacy endures, a testament to the enduring magic of her creativity and storytelling.
