This book is the imagination of an eight-year-old boy who would take road trips and wonder why humans always thought trees could not speak. Maurya lives in Chicago, USA. As his parents had a "no screen time during long drives" rule, he would stare outside the window and watch all the trees that they drove by. One winter break, he took his new computer and started typing. His parents discovered that he was writing down his story. The stories were about the trees that could talk in any language and a boy who could understand them. Maurya says he knows the trees talk, but humans are not smart enough to understand their language. He wanted to imagine what trees would say to each other and to him if he could understand. The book is Maurya's imagination of the trees that talk.
