The Athens Convention relating to the Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea, 2002 (hereinafter called "the Athens Convention 2002") should be a global legal instrument in protecting passengers, not only effective to some region. The author's view will be drawn with the critique and recommendation to currently effective Athens Convention 2002. It is also important to note that this work approaches the Athens Convention 2002 from the international perspective; however, main emphasis will be given to developing landlocked States.

Autor

Ms.Binderiya Battulga is an international lawyer from Mongolia. Besides her international law background, she completed her undergraduate degree in Law and MBA in International Business in the United States of America. She has an experience in working at public sectors, incorporating international law into domestic laws as well as drafting laws.
