In application of article 39 paragraph 1, of the Rules of the Conference, the Office prepared a preliminary report reviewing the legislation and practice of various countries, which was sent to member states, together with a questionnaire, in April 2015. As the world's only multilateral organization with a tripartite structure, the ILO is an ideal benchmark for compliance with the rules promoting decent work. Humanity's priority today is to ensure that every worker is placed in a decent situation that respects his or her human dignity.
