Now a bona fide global star, Russell Don ""Red"" Steagall was raised in a small oil field town in the Texas Panhandle. In 1985 when country music changed, Red changed too. He began writing cowboy poetry and songs, with his music emphasizing his beloved Western lifestyle. He never forgot his roots and never failed to bring the West to everyone he met.

Autor

Red Steagall's entertainment career has covered a period of over fifty years and has spanned the globe from Australia to the Middle East, South America, and the Far East. He has performed for heads of state including a special party for President Reagan at the White House in 1983. A native Texan, Red enjoyed a career in agricultural chemistry after graduating from West Texas A&M University with a degree in animal science and agronomy. He then spent eight years as a music industry executive in Hollywood and has spent the last nearly forty years as a recording artist, songwriter, and television and motion picture personality. He currently ranches outside Fort Worth, Texas, where in addition to his entertainment activities, he is involved in numerous horse-related pursuits.
