It is the first in its nature to analyze and provide evidence from French-Lingala code-switching. It provides robust contribution in interpreting and understanding the MLFM. The book tests the model by applying two main criteria in defining the Matrix Language. The analises highlight the weaknesses of the model in discussing the case of double morphology.

Autor

Philothé Kabasele has taught various courses at the department of English, at ISP/Gombe, Kinshasa/DRC. He speaks French, English, Lingala, and Swahili and has worked as a free-lance translator and interpreter. His interests are in Second Language Acquisition and Sociolinguistics. He holds an M.A in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from SIUC, USA.
