Tunan Chen received his Ph.D. from the Third Military Medical University in 2012. He is currently Associate Chief Physician and Associate Professor at the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University. His primary research focuses on optical diagnosis and treatment of gliomas. In 2021, he received the honorary title as a Chongqing Talent (Young Top Talent). He received the inaugural Outstanding Young Neuroscientist Award from the Continuing Education Committee of the National Health Commission in 2024. Dexian Yan received his Ph.D. from Tianjin University, China and is currently an Associate Professor at China Jiliang University. His research focuses on laser and optoelectronics, as well as microwave and terahertz technologies. He has conducted extensive work in areas such as nonlinear optical frequency conversion, microwave and terahertz waveguides, micro/nano metamaterial devices, and plasma-based applications. Prof. Dr. Kai Zhong is from School of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering, Tianjin University, China. His research focuses on laser and terahertz technology. He was granted the title of a Young Talent of the Innovative Talents Promotion Plan of Tianjin City, Jin Guofan Prize for Excellent Youth of China Instrument Society Scholarships, Tianjin 131 Innovative Talents Program, etc. Longhai Liu received the Doctor of Engineering degree in Advanced Manufacture from Tianjin University, China. He works with Advantest (China) Co, Ltd., Shanghai, China. His research interests include terahertz time-domain spectroscopy and its nondestructive testing. He has been awarded the First Prize of Henan Provincial Science and Technology Achievement Awards in 2024. Associate Prof. Jining Li received Ph.D. in Optics from Nankai University, China. From 2010 to 2012, he had an overseas visiting experience in T-ray Group with Prof. W. Withayachumnankul and Prof. A. Derek at School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Adelaide, Australia. In 2015, he joined the Faculty of School of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering, Tianjin University, China. His research interests include laser technology & application, THz technology and functional devices based on metamaterials, for example all-solid-state laser, laser detection technology, the physical interaction mechanism of THz wave and novel materials, high-performance active THz functional devices and the applications in biomedical, and THz target imaging detection technology. He is a Committee Member of Basic Medical Imaging Branch of Tianjin Medical Imaging Technology Research Association, and a Council Member of the Laser Society of Tianjin and the Optical Society of Tianjin. Jianquan Yao received the master’s degree in Precision Instrument, Tianjin University, China, in 1965. Since 1966, he has been with Tianjin University, as an Assistant Professor and a Lecturer, where he is a Professor and the Director of the Institute of Laser and Opto-Electronics. He was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Applied Physics, Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, from 1980 to 1982. In 1997, he was elected as an Academician with Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. He has long been engaged in research of all-solid laser, nonlinear optics frequency conversion, and terahertz science and technology. Prof. Yao has been awarded the World Gold Medal of Invention, Eureka, Brussels, and the National Invention Award Class II of China.
