Kachchh is known for its exceeding cattle population of the humans for simple reason that it has a vast grass land of Banni, Coastal plains and alluvial tracts of rocky highland. Industrialization in the last decade has adversely affected the coastal topography and marine dry land ecosystem of Kachchh. Khari and Rukhmavati river basin is a river which is flowing transversely to the KHF and flowing in the hinge zone of Median high of Kachchh. By morphometric analysis of both the river basin we can conclude that the basin is tectonically controlled basin. Deep gorges in both the basin indicate Neotectonic activity.
