This book deals with study of Rabi season crop Gram in Amravati Division of Vidarbha region,Maharashtra. Empirical studies on technical efficiency and resource use efficiency provides basic factors for the considering the input use to boost the agricultural production. This study will be helpful in identifying the efficient inputs in cost of cultivation and to formulate the base for some strategies such as use of low cost and location specific resources conservation technologies to improve the yield level ensuring more income to the farmers. As the present study is concerned with specific area i.e. Amravati division of Maharashtra and for specified period. The results will be applicable only to the areas which have similar situation of the area under study. Gram is one of the major crops grown in Amravati division of Maharashtra State. It is usually grown on available soil moisture during winter season after harvesting kharip crop. Since the irrigation facility are very limited in this region, the rabi crop gram acts as a good source of income to the farmers in rain fed area and also helps in increasing cropping intensity of this region giving economic support to the farmers.

Rede Ganeshkumar Dilipkumar is Ph.D, Research Scholar in the Dept. of Agricultural Economics,BCKV,West Bengal. He has published 7 research articles & presented papers. He has completed M.Sc.Agri.from Dr.PDKV, Akola(2013) and B.Sc. Agri from BSKKV, Dapoli(2011). He is the recipient of University Research Scholarship (BCKV) during doctoral programme.
