Teacher Perspectives on the ESL Teacher's Role in RTI

Response to Intervention is a system widely used by education professionals. ESL teachers' roles in this system is explored in this capstone through focus groups and questionnaires. Classroom, special education and support staff were included in this ethnographic research on the ESL teachers' role. The teacher perceptions are captured to help drive decisions on how to use a language expert to make accurate decisions for student achievement.

Autor

Amy Kennedy received her BA from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. She completed the MAESL degree at Hamline University. She enjoys research in the field of bilingual education and the role that ESL has within the many areas of education.
