A council who is sworn to protect the entire country run by the eldest of the witches. All of it is a lie as Ellemar quickly found out when ordered by the council to assassinate Celeana Maar, a rogue former member of the council. When the plot to overthrow the council goes wrong, Ellemar and her allies are being tortured to submit to the council's demands that their methods are true to protect their race. Before she submitted to their demands, Ellemar was rescued but lost her lover in the process. Together with her former enemy and rogue council member, Celeana, they plot to eliminate the council leader and free the kingdom. But to do this, they need an army. An army which is controlled by the council. If Ellemar doesn't fight back, not only she will be hunted down for the rest of her life, but the kingdom will never be set free from the corruption.
