In a single year Graeme took on the Dusi Canoe Marathon (3 day kayak race over tortuous terrain along the Umsindusi and Umgeni Rivers), the Midmar Mile (the biggest open-water swim event in the world - across a major dam), the Cape Argus Cycle Tour (the world's biggest timed cycle race over 109 kilometres around the Cape Peninsula), the world famous Comrades Marathon (run between Durban and Pietermaritzburg covering 90kms) and an ascent to Uhuru Peak on Mount Kilimanjaro Each event has a reputation for testing the endurance of the participants to the utmost. Graeme's challenge was to do all 5 events in one year!
