This study takes an approach to suicides in the political dimension, seeking to understand how Maxixe's socio-political institutions intervene in combating this phenomenon, by analyzing the policies and strategies adopted to prevent it as a starting point to evaluate the degree of political intervention. The study contributes to promote a greater, effective and efficient intervention of the municipality through proposals of policies, strategies and concrete actions to reduce the phenomenon based on local reality.

Delfino Jorge Banze, nacido en la provincia de Maputo, ciudad de Maputo, es licenciado en enseñanza de la filosofía por la Universidad Pedagógica de Maputo y tiene una Maestría en Ciencias Políticas y Estudios Africanos de la misma institución. Es profesor en la Universidad de Save (UniSave), conferenciante, poeta y autor de varios artículos científicos.
