Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is an ancient but nonetheless most attractive tropical fruit. Mango belongs to the class dicotyledoneae, subclass archichlamydeae; order Sapindales and family Anacardiaceae. The family Anacardiaceae includes 60 genera and 400 species,most of them are in the tropics but a few of them are in the temperate zone in both eastern and western hemispheres. Since the establishment of this genus, a large number of species have been discovered and at present there are 41 valid species
