One in 10 people infected with TB bacilli will become sick with active TB in their lifetime. TB is contagious and spreads through the air. DevR is a transcriptional regulator of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and part of devR-devS, two component systems. Two component systems are reported in plants and bacteria as systems that provide an exit, when the organism is in adverse conditions like pH, low oxygen supply, oxidative stress etc. This study shows various mutational analyses of DevR protein, how these mutations affect this protein and in turn the properties of bacterium at molecular levels.
