Knowledge of the diet composition and feeding habits of fish in the wild is essential to highlight trophic relationships between predators, inter- and intra-specific resource sharing and prey selection. It is within this framework that we studied the diet of Oblada melanura and Lithognathus mormyrus (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Gulf of Tunis, especially since no study has yet addressed this subject on the entire southern Mediterranean coast. The samples used in this study were collected from the fishery of the region of El Haouaria and the Gulf of Tunis from March to June 2014.
