The objective of this thesis is to study and analyze the different injection systems of the gasoline engine and diesel engine, to know their types and their constituents, to understand their operation and the main elements that influence the fuel injection. Thus, to determine the various failures and anomalies that can meet the injection system of a diesel engine with direct injection to show the importance of the injection system within the engine. The failure in the system causes the malfunctioning of the engine is the failure of the injectors or the maladjustment of the injection pump, which negatively affects the performance of the engine and the combustion, and can cause an increase in the rates of exhaust gases (pollution).Finally, we have formulated the way to restore the injection system to normal operation by adjusting the injectors and the injection pump on a test bench and by calculating the parameters of the injection pump and the jet injected by the injectors.
