The main aims of this research study are to investigate different methodologies (especially aeration, chlorination and KMnO4 methods ) that are in use to remove ( or to decrease ) iron and manganese concentration from groundwater. This study is also aimed to validate the correlation between these methods. To achieve these aims, the following objectives have been outlined: To determine some physicochemical parameters which are, pH, and turbidity, of ground water samples collected from the study area. To identify and determine the amount of heavy metals (Fe and Mn) present in the ground water so...
To identify and determine the amount of heavy metals (Fe and Mn) present in the ground water sources within the study area and to compare the levels of the metals with the World Health Organization (WHO) permissible levels.
