On basis of these concepts and tools three practical examples of development of industrial environmental information systems are presented. The three examples are information systems for life cycle assessment, toxicity assessment and eco-design. The framework is constituted by the four principles of Economy of the information system life cycle, Cognitive sciences, Physical reality and Quality, and by the Work procedure for establishing the information structures.
