This book has depicted a picture of socio-economic condition of India,especially, those who fall below poverty line including street children. These children are seen in the mechanic shops, tea stalls, cycle repair shop, washing utensils in restaurants, selling artificial jewellery, flowers, and even dancing on the road side to earn daily bread. Among such street children, girls are not seen on the streets in comparison to boys, as these girls either work as domestic helpers or sold in the brothels as sex workers from a very early age. This book is a comparative study of the Local NGOs and an I-NGOs on the pathetic condition of street girls in Delhi and also suggests a strategy, how to uplift these abused girls in the society.
