Despite the increased availability of superior wheat genotypes over time, average national wheat yield is still stagnant and outcomes of wheat breeding programs have not been fully realized yet. A number of biotic and abiotic factors pose threat to higher wheat productivity under field conditions. Among these, weeds are the serious biological constraints that limit wheat production. There is ever growing concern that genotypic variation responsible for weed tolerance can be exploited as an integral component of integrated weed management program.
