Several methods are reported in literature for the determination of antibiotics are expensive, time consuming and are not useful for routine analysis. We developed simple,convenient, rapid and selective spectrophotometric methods for the determination of tetracyclines, cephalosporines and a few other drugs. In this research work, the author proposes to develop simple methods for the determination of drugs. Suitable conditions such as pH, effect of reagent concentrations and time are studied. The developed methods will be applied for the determination various drugs in pharmaceutical formulations.
