This is the first of three volumes on specification writing for building conservation. By combining case studies and actual specifications this book provides the reader with an insight into how the National Trust approaches building conservation projects. Volume 1 is divided into two sections. Part 1 provides an overview of the specification process and heritage legislation with sections covering wildlife and sustainability. Part 2 comprises the project case studies, beginning with research into Building Recording, followed by Masonry (stone & brick), Timber repairs (frames & fine joinery), Roofing and Thatch.

Autor

The National Trust was founded in 1895 with the aim of caring for special places, forever, for everyone.
