In this work, deposits of rudaceous materials (Bush Gravels) in Alfisols of Girei local government areas of Adamawa State were identified and geo-tagged using GPRS. Mining of these materials occur on small and large-scales through manual excavation and sorting by local people for economic reasons. It takes about two weeks for a team of 2-3 individuals to excavate and sort out a 4 cubic meter truck load. Morphological and physical Characterization of the Rudaceous deposits were carried out and their Uniformity coefficient Cu = D60/D10 and Coefficient of curvature Cc = (D30)2/D10 x D60 were calculated. Geospatial computations of areas of approximate deposits were mapped out by assuming a buffer radius of 500 m from excavation sites using ArcGIS. Site specific data sheets for the study area are presented. The results suggest a diverse mixture of all shapes sizes across all the sites.
