This research was designed with a cross-sectional quantitative survey that analyzed participants' perceptions of language code switching and is based on cognitive psychology, sociolinguistics, and bilingualism as a theoretical framework in order to learn about students', teachers', and coordinators' perceptions of the alternative use of language codes in English as a foreign language classes. Therefore, the following research questions were asked: (a) What are the students' perceptions about the use of linguistic code switching in English classes, (b) What are the teachers' perceptions about the students' use of linguistic code switching within English classes, and (c) What are the coordinators' perceptions about the students' use of linguistic code switching within English classes? Taking into account the above, a total of 193 students, 12 teachers and 5 coordinators from two language centers of a university in northeastern Mexico participated, who supported and consented to this research process.
