In 1980 Wendy followed the suggestion of a friend to keep a journal by just picking up a pencil and starting to write. By the following year, it became apparent to Wendy that the writings were not just her personal devotions. They had become the Songs of the Spirit, which Wendy has always maintained are not hers, but instead she is the messenger.
