The Evaluation Office of the UN Development Programme and the Brazilian Ministry of Social Development and Fight against Hunger, co-hosted the Third International Conference on National Evaluation Capacities. The theme was Solutions to Challenges Related to Independence, Credibility and Use of Evaluation. The 2013 conference emphasised three aspects of establishing national M&E systems, namely, how to ensure the independence, credibility and use of evaluations.
