SOLACE explores the complex human & interspecies relationships specific to the Great Lakes region with an emphasis on the Upper Peninsula, where I've lived for a decade. It is also an extended love letter to the land, grappling with themes of environmental destruction and climate change. But it's not all doom and gloom- in fact, the more I engaged with the poetics of the land, the more I found myself returning to matters of the heart and interconnectivity, the work and pleasures that make life worth living.
