The general objective of the study is to investigate new ways of transacting electricity through Smart Grids and, as specific objects, to verify the current energy trading models; review the literature on microgrids and distributed generation; review the literature on Smart Grids; deepen the study of blockchain technology; deepen the study of the point-to-point (P2P) model for energy trading; present aspects of the P2P energy transaction, being positive and/or negative.
