Her husband dies tragically. She clings to his memory, but eventually falls in love with a widower, an author, and they carve out a rich life watched over by their late mates. "Love never dies" is the theme of the book, and it never does for Mollie or the wolf couple whose moving story she explores, and they write it into a book to end the story.
