About the Author: Lisa Stone grew up in Connecticut but always wanted to live in a warmer climate. She now calls North Carolina home. She has written other children’s books and also the memoir of her experience as a foster mother, Fostering Uncertainty. "Many of my foster children faced the same fears. They worried that their family would dissolve, and they would never reunite. Also, they were terrified of the unknown. I just felt that I should write a book that could help ease some of their fears. Even though not all families reunite, it is always best to be hopeful and know you are not alone in your struggles."
