As Tracey delves into Stephanie's life, it leads her back to where Stephanie went to high school. As Tracey questions Stephanie's high school friends, she soon learns they all have secrets and they are not as innocent as they appear. With all the secrets and lies Tracey has to unravel, she seeks the help of her boyfriend Jack, also a private investigator, and her best friend Susie, a lawyer. When she finally realizes who the killer is, Tracey finds her life is in danger and in a situation she may not be able to escape from this time.

Ellen Shapiro is a private investigator and the author of Tracey Marks Mystery Series. Acting on her passion for writing, she enrolled in the Sarah Lawrence Writing Institute where she took courses in creative writing. Her professional expertise in locating people led her to create the storyline and develop the characters for her novel. She has written articles related to her field for both local and nationwide newspapers. She is a member of Mystery Writers of America. When she is not writing or working, you can find her on the golf course yelling at her golf ball. Ellen resides in Scarsdale, New York.
